Tejon Mountain Village protects an open space system that’s about the size of Pine Mountain Club, Lebec and Frazier Park combined – or nearly a third of the size of the City of Bakersfield.
But our objective isn’t merely open space conservation. We’re also committed to involving our future residents, guests and neighbors to provide the opportunity for them to become active stewards of these lands.
That’s why we will create educational and awareness programs to underscore the importance of living, playing or working near the 21,335 acres of the community's open space. Residents will receive extensive information designed to help them understand how best to protect nature while living amongst it. These materials will outline the important role residents will play in ensuring that this beautiful land is preserved properly.
For nearby residents and the general public, portions of the community’s open space will become accessible through docent-led tours as part of the Tejon Ranch Conservation & Land Use Agreement signed by Tejon Ranch and the nation’s leading environmental groups.
